Hertfordshire 4x4 response sign agreement with Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council to assist in adverse weather
15th December 2009
Hertfordshire 4x4 Response and Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council have signed an agreement that will ensure vital meals get through to those in need, whatever the weather.
in February 2009, the Council were forced to cancel meals on wheels deliveries when their drivers were unable to get through in the snowy conditions. Although regrettable, the decision was forced upon the Council by the unexpected conditions. This did attract adverse publicity for the Council and they were determined this would not be repeated. For this winter they approached Hertfordshire 4x4 Response to assist with deliveries should bad weather strike again.
